How many habits can I track for free?

The free version of GentleTrack lets you track up to 5 habits. If you need more, you can unlock unlimited habits with a one-time purchase of $5.99 — no subscription required.

What types of habits can I track?

GentleTrack supports three types of habits:

  • Binary — simple yes/no (e.g., "Did I meditate today?")
  • Numeric — count-based (e.g., "Glasses of water: 6")
  • Time-based — duration tracking (e.g., "30 minutes of reading")
When do insights become available?

Insights appear after you have at least 7 days of data for a given habit. The more data you log, the richer and more useful the insights become.

How do I back up my data?

Go to Settings and tap "Export Data." GentleTrack will create a JSON file containing all your habits, entries, and mood logs. Save this file wherever you like. To restore, use "Import Data" from the same screen and select your backup file.

Is my data sent to any servers?

No. GentleTrack stores everything locally on your device. There are no servers, no cloud sync, no accounts, and no analytics. Your data never leaves your phone unless you manually export it. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Will I lose my data if I uninstall the app?

Yes — since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app will remove it. We strongly recommend creating a JSON backup before uninstalling. You can restore your data after reinstalling.

Does GentleTrack use streaks?

No. GentleTrack intentionally avoids streak counters. Research shows that streak-based motivation often backfires — missing one day can feel like losing all your progress. Instead, GentleTrack uses calendar heat maps and gentle insights to show your patterns without pressure.

Can I restore my purchase on a new device?

Yes. Since the unlimited habits upgrade is handled through Google Play or the Apple App Store, you can restore your purchase on any device signed into the same store account. Look for the "Restore Purchases" option in Settings.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Please email us at heldig.lab@pm.me with a description of the issue, your device model, and OS version. Screenshots are always helpful. We appreciate every report and will do our best to fix it quickly.
